that sounds absolutely horrible! i know how that feels, i hate seeing a piece of meat oozing blood sitting on the dinner table. i don't eat eggs either, and while i don't like dairy i have to eat it because i'm a very picky eater and need all the variety i can get. there are plenty of books & websites out there with recipes that can help you out. try http://www.vegcooking.com/ for starters and good luck!

It depends on if you want to eat dairy or not. I'm a vegetarian, but I don't eat eggs or dairy, just honey (so I'm not vegan). I would say if it makes you feel guilty than don't eat it. The egg and dairy industry cause a lot more suffering than the meat industry, and there's pus in milk anyway. Just do what feels right. You can buy some soy milk, I think it tastes better than real milk, but it took me a while to get used to the sweetness. All the replacement dairy products I've ever tried have tasted much better than the real thing and I have more energy than I had as an omni OR a lacto-ovo (I think I may have had a nutrition deficiency as a lacto-ovo vegetarian). Good luck.

I read a story about a movie star who quit eating meat when he was chopping up something and hit a tumor with his knife (he had no idea it was there) and it oozed everywhere :P Most of the meat people eat today is just not from healthy animals (www.meat.com)
there are a lot of meat substitues that taste a lot like the real thing (believe it or not a lot of meat foods now a days have soy in them, such as microwavable meals) from chicken nuggets to ground "beef" crumbles that you can add into your cooking. And some things are meat flavored but have no meat products in them (like bac-o's and stove top stuffing-pork [only the pork flavor])
Though honestly if you are already cooking and not in the habit of making premade food its much easier, cheaper and healthier just to leave out the meat.
Make noodles with pesto, eggs and bagels, lasagna without beef, soufflee, casserole without the chicken.
A lot of international foods (especially asian and indian) are meat free already.
try these for recipies if you are unsure though.
