I have had sex with someone who I know but not that well and now I suspect that he might be bisexual. We did use a condom but for a moment it was unprotected. I am definately not pregnant as I have had my period, although it was heavier than usual, and I've been experiencing headaches, fatigue, a feeling as though I'm going to be sick, and I have a sore throat. Im worried that I may have caught something. I would appreciate some advice. Thankyou.

You won't know until you see a doctor. Go to a gynecologist and get a physical. Tell the doctor to check for diseases for unprotected sex. I know you must be worried sick. Maybe the stress of wondering has caused you to be sick. I hope and pray you will be fine.

Think the most sensible solution here would be to seek medical attention at the local GUM clinic as theres really only one way to know for sure if you have something! The one thing that many STD's cause is a sore throat so there is a chance that you may have something. The good news is that if you have there are very few STD'd that cannot be treated with a weeks supply of Anti-biotics. If you have got something and out of embarrasment you choose not to be tested then you should be aware that certain STD's can cause infertility if you are planing on having a family later on. Goodluck, know its a scary thing to go through but grab a good pal and pop along to the local GUM clinic x x

I am sorry for your loss and I know how hard it is not to worry when you have had a previous miscarriage. The only thing I can tell you is to take one day at a time. Also remember that although miscarriage is extraordinarily painful (emotionally if nothing else) more than 50% of women have at least one during their childbearing years. Talk to your doctor about your concerns and they will give you some encouragement. Also remember to mark milestones like passing the number of weeks you miscarried previously, making it past week 14 (miscarriage rate drops), seeing/hearing a heartbeat (rate of miscarriage drops), Making it 25 weeks (chance of survival is good, making it to 28 weeks survival rate goes up again, 34 weeks lungs are well developed and most babies can breathe room air, 37 weeks you are considered full term! Speaking from experience I can tell you it is not easy. I miscarried at 8 weeks and although it felt good to pass that marker I didn't start to feel confident that I would make it until I knew they (I'm having twins) could be born and survive around 25 weeks. Now I am 28 weeks and feel pretty good that things will go well! Good luck and try to stay as positive as you can! Every pregnancy is different!

Best thing is to go get a check you may be having experiencing headaches etc just because your worried and at least it will put you at rest with yourself. I had to go once its not so bad and when you get the all clear its such a feeling of relief.Good luck and dont listen to anyone you got signs of this and that, the test will tell you and that alone will diagnose you.

I wouldn't panick if I was you because most bisexual and gay men have regular check ups. Not for the piece of mind of those who they sleep withs sake but for there own so it's a strong possibility he was clear of any STD'S.
Also non of your symptoms sound like any known STD decease that I am aware of.
It sounds like nothing but a coincidence and you have caught a cold or virus that just happens to be going round or that your letting your imagination run away with you and it,s making you ill
For piece of mind visit your doctor or STD clinic but if you feel too embarrassed to do so then phone NHS Direct and speak to someone who will be able to put your mind at rest.
All the best and good luck,
Andrew D

I am sure it is a coincidence but to be on the safe side and for your own peace of mind go to the clinic and have the necessary tests. I am sure you are fine, it could be the worry over this that is causing these symptoms. Good luck.

The best thing to do if you are worried is to get yourself checked out. The first port of call would be your local GP who would then refer you/redirect you to a specialist. You may just have a totally different bug/virus - may not be sex related at all.

go to your doctor and if not that get yourself to a GUM clinic.
STI's wont cause a sore throat I dont think but the fact that you had unprotected sex, even for just a minute isnt safe. give yourself peace of mind and get yourself checked.
