This could be caused by a variety of things. You need to get tested for not only T-3, T-4, and thryoglobulin but a anti-thyroid anti-body test would be a really good idea. I've been dealing with thyroid cancer for 2 years now and plead with you to be tested soon! It's not healthy to be either hyper or hypo for any length of time. Find a good endochrinologist! Its called Acute Thyroiditis. I had that happen to me. I was Hypo then Hyper. Now I am not on synthroid anymore, but I am at risk for it reoccuring. Don't let them talk you into the radioactive iodine stuff until you research that stuff. They tried to make me do it and I didn't. Now I fine.
