Well a fortune cookie is actually American, created in California by a Japanese immigrant in 1909. i'd go with Bejing or Peking Duck which originated in China and is also very popular in the US.
Likewise for the Taco Salad. Although Mexican inspired, it was created right here in the US. I'd go with Chilaquiles instead. It's a lasagna-like dish that is made in Mexico and by many mexican restaurants here as well.
Although American Pizza bears very little resemblance to true Italian Pizza, Gnocchi, or potato pasta, is a more authentic dish.
