well, since the Tower of Babel (that this movie's name references) is a bible story, use foods from biblical times: hummus with a flat bread such as matzoh or pita, olive and goat cheese plate, whole grain salad like faro or tabbouleh, grilled lamb kabobs, fruits from around the globe (lychees - japan, melons-morocco, apples-american, oranges or other citrus - mexico)

Alphabet soup in small crocks, serve with good cheeses and nice crackers and cocktail breads. Lots of words, but jumbled up in the broth. Homemade soup, or a good canned will do, just add alphabet pasta to it. Or make alphabet pasta and serve with different sauces.
