i have been having some uncomfortable issues from my the middle of my chest up to my throat. from time to time its like my breath is being taken and it usually lasts for a few seconds and then everything is fine. one day it lasted for about 30 minutes or so just over and over. i talked to a PA and they checked my heart because i thought it might be heart related. everything was ok with my heart. the PA told me that it was indigestion. has anyone ever had a problem like this? this might be indigestion but it is really scary at times when it happens. Its a really weird feeling and hard to describe. Plus when this happens I always get nervous and my blood pressure goes up to like 140 over 100. Please help.

See a real doctor and not a P.A. What do you mean that they checked your heart? Hopefully they did an ekg which is basic but if you are having this feeling still then you could have blockages. You need an echo to check the chambers and function of the heart and a stress test. Any pain or pressure lasting at least 10 minutes has to be evaluated and a cause determined. If the heart is found to not be the culprit then ask for an upper gi series x ray to rule out bad reflux or a hiatal hernia. Please see a good doctor.

Is the Pain aggravated on exertion? or after meal? is a basic question. Has your doctor prescribed you an antacid, or Zantac? If not so the symptoms might of APD (Acid Peptic Disease) or oesophagitis/ small hiatus hernia! write down these questions and consult your doctor. OK.
