I mean, if there are two people, and each is blaming the other, is there a way (a test?) to determine who was the primary source?

You would probably have to go back to ex-sex partners and see if there is a history of any of them catching it or having it. Other than that I am not sure, maybe you could call a clinic and see if there is a way to determine length of the std.

No, but realize this. Some people who have an STD, especially Herpes, carry the disease without having symptoms. You can have Herpes for years and not even know it.
So if you gave it to him or he gave it to you, whoever had it first, was probably carrying it around since before you two were together!

No, but the medical professionals can determine where is the place of contact wherein you acquire STD..

What is the point of blaming one or the other. It doesn't help with the solution.

No. Diseases can be dormant, not manifest. So someone could be infected, not even know, possibly never have the disease manifest, and still pass it onto another.
