There are several different antibiotics a doctor can prescribe to treat and cure a chlamydia infection.

Amoxicillin, azithromycin, doxycycline, erythromycin, erythromycin ethylsuccinate, levofloxacin and ofloxacin all work for treating and curing a chlamydia infection.

It's a sexually transmitted disease that is basically an infection. The infection progresses as time goes on, causing problems with your cervix and reproductive organs (you may not be able to have kids later on if you don't treat it). It can also move up into your abdomen cause something called "Pelvic Inflammatory Disease" - this is life threatening, as it quickly turns into a systemic infection (kind of like Toxic Shock Syndrome, only caused by a different bacteria). I know you don't want symptoms, but if you did get PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease), you'd get a high fever, severe abdominal pain, chills, severe vomiting... and so on. You'd also transmit Chlamydia to each and every guy you had unprotected sex with, and would still risk transmitting it to the ones you used condoms with (condoms don't prevent disease 100%). These men might develop abscesses or green discharge from the penis.. burning and problems urinating... and in turn, they would turn around and give it to other girls, who could become infertile or develop PID. It's a nasty cycle that you definitely don't want to be responsible for! However, if you catch it early, Chlamydia is easy to treat - your doctor will give you a few pills to take, and you're done - usually only a couple doses is all that's needed. A much easier thing to treat if you treat it right away!!
