Some do eat it the only one I know is carpaccio which is thinly sliced meat and it's drizzled with olive oil, and lemon juice. The acid from the juice does cook the meat but not fully. So a Raw foodie might eat it that way. I myself wouldn't because the meat need to be super fresh, was it raised "organically" and I would like to know what farm it was raised in and there history all all the stuff.

I saw that show too and somebody should call Oprah or Dr. Phil on those freaks! I have been trying to research their so called diet all night and it's crap, no one but one crazy guy recommends it, they don't even condone it for dogs! They should have their children taken, they have them brainwashed and living completely unhealthy lives! Being a parent I do NOT say that lightly! They came in from the farm and barn and handled themselves and then the food they ate. If I had been the woman swapped to that house, I wouldn't have even stayed one night there, I'd have jumped right back out the door. It's a good thing they live in the middle of no where, cause they would be locked up for child endangerment and put on some serious meds. Don't even get me started on the "we don't drink water, we drink Kepher" Crap either, try googling that one and see what you come up with! Where did this family do it's research in an old abandoned cave man's home? Can't even find high meat or rotten meat or whatever the hell that was in those jars on google. They had better add some body bags to their preparedness kit!

But...why are their kids not sick? Or at least not appear to be sick at all to the doctor they went to? Thats pretty weird! I was hoping the docs would tell them they are all crazy, but nope. I can't even eat sushi let alone raw chicken and beef. But at least this helps my mind ease a lil, cus last night I took a bite of a piece of chicken, but the middle was raw. I thought I had about an hr left to live LOL but here I am typing this....Maybe they are just too lazy to get up and cook lol.

You see generally you cant eat raw meat because bacteria develops on it fast, however in cold places like alaska, eskimos must eat it because their are no vegetables around and meat only maintains the vitamins you normally get from vegetables if it is raw. So for places like those where plants are scarce then yes they have to eat meat, however you must know that in places like this it can be healthy to eat meat free diet, for all you vegetarian haters out there, you should know this!

I thought about this then I wondered. If raw meat is good for you then why in the heck do I have a meat thermometer? And why do they put those pop-ups on turkeys? LOL

I vote no, but then I'm a vegan. :)

Yeah sure, if you like salmonella, worms, any other kind of infection. But, for the smart people out there, NEVER EAT RAW MEAT. Not more I can say.

You should DEFINATELY not eat raw meat. My step mom's dad used to eat his meat raw all the time, or just stick it on the grill for 2 seconds on each side. He suffered 7 heart attacks, and was overweight. When he suffered his 8th heart attack, he never recovered. So....don't eat raw meat. ((That family is messed up))
