The condition is called tachycardia, which is a type of arrhythmia. In a person with no medical conditions, this doesn't happen. There are many possible causes, and sometimes the cause is unknown. If you have other symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, or weakness when this occurs, it is a dangerous situation. If you do not have any other symptoms, then it is generally not a health risk. You should consider having a cardiologist check you out.
