The only thing to worry about is the lubrication. Most condoms have water based lube and that rinses away very easily. Add a few drops of silicone-based lube and you should be fine.
The link takes you to a site selling a bunch of different brands of silicone lube. I've never purchased from the site and I don't know if the site is any good, but it is a good listing of well known brands.

It might work..... but I don't think it would 100% foolproof, due to the water / soap running over it.
This is what I found.....
Is it Safe to Use a Condom in the Bath or Shower?
If you’re having sex with your partner while in the shower, using a condom is still a very important thing to do. However, you need to be careful about a couple of things. First, the water from the shower can wash off the lubricant that may be on the condom you’re using. This lubricant makes it easier and “smoother” to have sex, and it makes it less likely that the condom will break during sex. In addition, some condoms are lubricated with a chemical that can kill sperm, called “nonoxynol-9”. This too can be washed off in the shower, making the condom a little less effective at preventing pregnancy. Finally, if you use some kinds of soaps, shampoos, or oils in the shower and they get on the condom, they may cause the latex of the condom to “break down,” putting you and your partner at risk for transmission of an STD or becoming pregnant. The bottom line is this: it’s always best to use a condom whenever and wherever you have sex - but be a little more careful in the shower!

Well I would think so. A condom is something that is used to protect you. They will stay on in the shower as long as you make sure the water doesn't flow down the shaft into the condom filling it up with water. Test this result by taking a latex glove and putting it on your hand. Run water toward down our wrist and see what it does. This will answer your question. They work as long as no water get in the condom! Good luck!

A condom will work in the shower, as long as it doesn't make contact with shower gel. I don't think that the chemicals in this kind of product is harmless to the latex of the condom. Plus I wouldn't want shower gel to make contact with my genitalia either (read the label ingredients you'll definitely want to avoid it going INSIDE your body or the body of your partner).
