Orasure is a swab that takes your mucosal tissue from the mouth to check for HIV antibodies, most community based organizations will have test results back in a few days. Orasure also makes a rapid test called oraquick which gives results in 20 minutes but still needs to be followed up by a confirmatory test called a western blot.

The Orasure HIV-1 oral specimen collection device is an easy way to get tested for HIV infection. OraSure requires no blood or needles. The process takes a few minutes. Like a blood test, OraSure checks for HIV antibodies, not the virus.
