Whenever I blow my nose its nothing but blood. It's been like this for 5 days now. I thought it could of been because of the air but now im thinking otherwise. I don't do drugs, i don't smoke or drink. What could be causeing this?

Hi,

often a bleeding nose is an indicator of higher than normal blood pressure. If you have more than two or three 'nose bleeds' in a week I would suggest you visit your medical practitioner for a check up.

It is true, that dry air can dehydrate the mucous membranes in your nasal passages, giving rise to bursting of the (now dry) membrane when the nose is blown.

The possibility, though, of high blood pressure is high and I believe you would be well advised to visit your doctor...better safe than sorry.

Good luck,
