These test results aren't bad at all. 1 hour after eating or drinking in this case since it's a Glucose Tolerance Test, your blood sugar should be around 150, higher than that is diabetic, two hours shows that your pancreas is reacting slowly to the sugar dump, but not horribly since it's 153 which is close to 150. If you continue to walk every day, eat whole grains, stay away from fruit other than berries and apples, then you probably won't become insulin dependent. Keep your weight down and watch your carb intake. Make sure that you eat whole grains, use Barley Malt or Brown Rice Syrup as a sweetener or apple juice may be used as long as it's unsweetened, and you should do fine. Your fasting sugar is actually about normal. They consider between 70 and 90 normal range for blood glucose levels. Good luck and keep up the good work. You must be doing something right!

I would say your test results do indicate diabetes. A non diabetic person should not have elevated blood glucose levels such as you have described above, since when the sugar is present the body normally releases insulin to take care of the sugar and take it into the cells for metabolic use. There normally should also not be any spillage into the urine. An exception here is a person who has been on the high protein, low carbohydrate diet for a period of time will produce ketones in the urine from the breakdown of protein for energy due to the lack of carbohydrates. The values you listed are not extremely high, but they are high enough that you should follow up with a doctors appointment and probably should be receiving some medication to control your blood sugars, as well as making adjustments to your diet. Diabetes causes damage to all of your organs in your body if not kept under control. The heart, eyes and kidneys seem to be at highest risk for damage from blood sugars being out of control.
