Occasionally, especially when I'm sick, one nostril or the other will seem "clogged up". Blowing my nose doesn't help, but I find that if I lie down for a while, then get up, it might clear up for several seconds. Also, taking a breath of the outside air (I live in Michigan and it's winter, so it's nice and snowy--and cold--outside) seems to help a little.

Any suggestions?

Do the home sauna method. Run steaming hot water in your bathroom or kitchen sink. Cover your head with a towel and kind of hold it out and over the sink and let all the steam come up into your face. Or the super hot washcloth over the nose and breath in as deeply as you can.

Or take a really hot shower. They make those new things called Shower Soothers, too, that you take into the shower and they release healing vapors.

Have you ever tried nose spray? They make some that are saline solution/water only and they help to clear the passages.

Good luck to you!

If the condition persists don't fall into the trap of 'trying' various antibiotics. Some doctors can't seem to get truly interested in
learning the cause of an individual's respiratory prioblem.. Find one who thinks holistically and prescribes treatment base on his findings.

Sprinkle some cayenne pepper in a cup of tea, this will clear you right up! I did it and it worked wonders. I tried it upon the recommendation of the website below. Cayenne pepper actually cured my sore throat too.

Vapo-Rub is good. You could also try being in a steamy bathroom. I used to do that with my younger son who has asthma when he was a baby. We keep Mucinex in the house, too.
