yes i know its not usual you throw a middle school grad party. but you only graduate junior high once.

plus im the oldest of my family so its a big thing for my mom to get to throw it for me.

Most definately do the Sub sandwich thing.. You can go to a place like subway and they have packages of subs that they do specifically for catering events... Try Chips and Dips, Fresh Fruits,Salads,Fresh Vegetables with dips, A Rye boat and Dip dip, MAybe some Pazza and BreadSticks, or Chicken wings, Baked Zitit, Lasagna, Stuffed Shells, Things of that sort! Hope this helps!! I know for my middle school graduation we went out to denny's with some family and ate ice cream LOL! Get Creative!! Definately incorporate the School colors even with the cake do the school colors or the mascot!! GOOD LUCK!!

Do an all out Hawaiian theme party those are the best but a little on the pricey side. Tell your mom to check out OrientalTrading.com It's the best website to get cool and cheap party stuff because you are buying it bulk. Since it's just middle school and you don't want your mom to go overboard money wise go with your color theme it will be less stress to plan but you can still use the website.

Maybe pulled pork, shredded chicken or sloppy joes. If it is mostly young people, I'd go with pizza. I had a friend once whose mother made a mexican pizza for all the young adults and it was a huge hit.

Make sure you get finger foods like cheese and crackers, veggie platter and fresh fruit. I would do colors as a theme would be very time cosuming.

wow -- that's some party for middle school graduation!

your mom is on a good track -- some sub stores will do a six foot sub where they cut it into manageable slices and then they have some trimmings like mayo, mustard, etc. They usually will also bring in soft drinks and chips for you. Then you only have to deal with one delivery.

Middle graduation party! that is a first for me, so i'll treat it like a high school party...
the food like mastiocoli, baked chicken, soda, a graduation cake of course.
school colors, some balloons, would work
theme "ready for the future!"
