What makes you think there are forbidden foods for Chinese New Year???????????????

To be sure, I just asked my wife who was born and raised in Beijing, and she said there are none.

chinese says not to eat poultry specially chicken as it will bring forth a whole year of difficulty as chickens like a life of scratch-n-beak
