1)Veganism is brilliant! I have only been one since New Year and I love it!! (I was a vegetarian before I became vegan.)
2) Mass commercialism and over production causing animals discomfort to give us Milk , eggs dairy, honey, milk wool and and wax. I heard that the UK was going to start importing dairy and I was worried that this imported stuff would contain negligible amounts of pus or blood.I then thought ok , it wouldn't really be a giant leap for me to go vegan!!
3) Fruits, vegetables, nuts pulses and mushrooms. certain green and black's dark chocolate bars. My local supermarket stocks vegan cereals and vegan margarine, breads, hummus, biscuits, crisps (potato or tortilla chips) Soave, chardonnay, soy choc, iced dessert and soy yoghurt etc. I know some of the food is non essential but I can eat way more than I thought I could.

1. Veganism is a lifestyle choice based on minimising ones impact on creation, that is Human Beings, Animals and the environment. I think it's great!
2. I was a vegetarian before I became a vegan, but like the carnivore said, veganism seemed to make more sense. To be a vegan removes all conection with any form of animals suffering and that was what I wanted.
3. I'm allowed to eat anything which is not, or does not contain animal products or by-products. That leaves a fantastic range of foods which is expanding all the time thanks to the efforts of companies like Frys special vegetarian, Redwood foods etc. I thrive on my diet and I know many others who do to. As for getting my five a day - it's usually more like 10!

1. I think it's great-have been a vegan for 7 years,was a vegetarian for about 10 yrs before that.
2. I decided that the dairy and egg industry was as cruel as the meat industry and to stop helping it.And to anyone who says you can't be healthy as a vegan-I am.
3. Anything with no meat (including fish), milk, eggs or honey in. This includes things with ingredients made from these things so as a vegan you have to learn what all the complex things in ingredients really are and where they come from.Is easiest to eat a lot of whole foods and to cook from scratch not buy pre-packed.

1- What do you think of veganism?
I hate the word ‘vegan’, I think it’s stupid.
The reason the word exists is because too many people don’t know that being a vegetarian means 100%. In countries outside N. America there’s no question about it, either you are 100% or you are not. Personally, I like to think of myself as trying to lead a natural lifestyle as much as I can and following a diet which best suits the human digestive system. Unfortuantely the easiest way to describe this to others is to use the common colloquial word ‘vegan’.
2- If you are a vegan, then why did you decide to become one?
Increased athletic performance, especially endurance.
3- What foods are you allowed to eat?
I’m allowed to eat whatever I want; I am my own person and no one tells me what to eat. There are no rules. But, basically, I eat anything that’s free of animal products, but go further and do not eat unnatural additives and crap like that. I try to stick to whole fresh organic foods as much as possible. I eat so many different things that it would be a huge task to list. There aren't even English names for some of the things I eat.

1. I think Veganism is a great idea. I see it as a natural transition from Vegetarianism. It's a very healthy diet if done right. It's better for animals, the environment and for you.
2. I went Vegan at New Year after two months of being Vegetarian. Yes, I know, only four months in at the moment, but it's something I hoping to stick with for the rest of my life.
At first, I had friends who were vegetarian so I have always been well informed about meat-free diets. At christmas I went to a gig to see some bands play and all were Pro-Vegan. There was lots of people with advice, suggestions and leaflets who were willing to talk about a life free of animal products.
It was after chatting to other vegans and some investigation on my part that I decided to go vegan.
At first, it was primarily for health reasons and something I could prove to myself I could do. Only after having been vegan for a while did the other reasons dawn on me. I realised how not only I was benefiting from my lifestyle, but animals and the environment as well.
3. I eat anything that isn't made from meat, fish, egg, milk or honey. Generally, my diet consists of the following:
- Fruit, Vegetables
- Beans, nuts and seeds
- Rice, pasta and noodles (non-egg based, obviously)
- Tofu and other soy-based products (Soya 'butter', soya 'milk')
- Flour-based breads such as tortillas, ciabattas, brown bread (wholegrain).

Firstly I am a fully fledged carnivore with no intention of changing. To me veganism makes more sense than vegetarianism though. Veggies eat eggs and dairy products yet say they do not eat meat for reasons of animal welfare. Yet people do not seem to realise that for a cow to produce milk then she has to have a calf [ usually one a year]. The consequence of this is that calves are still being produced in order for them to produce milk- these calves either replace the dairy herd or go into the beef industry. So they may not be eating meat directly but they are definitely contributing to the meat industry. Eggs is also a difficult one- most hens are not living in a big open area, even freerange. So though I do not personally wish to stop eating meat or animal products, I believe that vegans may well have considered the whole picture a lot more than most veggies. And as for those that eat fish yet still say they're vegetarians...!
