Cute questions!
Yes! Unborn babies hiccup. I had a ultrasound where my daughter had the hiccups. Sometimes when I move and she is startled, I can fell her hiccup and jump inside of me. Premature babies also hiccup more often then full term babies. This is because their organs are not fully developed and have not had time to mature. But dont worry, Just about all of them grow out of it within a year of birth.
Mucus, on the other hand is a thick and slimy secretion from mucous membranes and glands. It contains mucin (a slippery lubricant), white blood cells, inorganic salts, water, and cells that have peeled away from tissue. It lubricates and protects areas of the body where mucous membranes are present -- the digestive tract included. Mucus also makes swallowing easier, prevents stomach acid from harming your stomach wall, and catches smoke, particles, and other pollutants in your airways so they won't enter the lungs.
^^^^ that part should answer your second and third questions^^^^
I hope this helps! :)

I dont know whether unborn babies hiccup, but they are human and it is highly likely. Mucus in your nose is part of the innate body defenses and its role is to stop things entering the body, these defenses are found at all portals of entry; nose, mouth, skin, ears, vagina..... . It is there to trap dust dirt and bacteria, which could cause illness. It is trapped and then excreted. Mucus is produced by goblet cells and consists of mucin. Goblet cells work directly with cilliated epithelial cells which have fine hairs that 'waft' the mucus and trapped dirt and bacteria out of the body. Mucus is also found in the lungs, the cilliated epithelium then wafts mucus up the trachea and then drops it down the oesophagus into the hydrochloric acid and enzymes waiting in the stomach. Any harmful substances are destroyed. In other places/portals of entry, the mucus is a secretion; such as a spot.
