Do you qualify for Medicare or Medicaid? If you're not sure, see a social worker. You can also talk to your doctor. He may know of some resources that are available from the drug companies or he/she can lead you to some program for you.

Do you WANT to have diabetes?
According to recent studies conducted by the Pritikin Longevity Center, diabetes starts from too much fat in the diet and insufficient exercise, not malfunction of the pancreas as previously thought. The pancreas continues to produce insulin when you have diabetes but the body becomes insulin resistant. Research has shown that over 90% of diabetes cases can be CURED with diet and exercise. That means that you don't have to have limbs removed due to diabetes-induced gangrene. You don't have to go blind or suffer cardiovascular abnormalities because of diabetes. You can actually REVERSE these conditions with diet (nutrition, not weight loss) and exercise, and the removal of parasites and candida.
Watch the 8-minute non-profit video http://www.rawfor30days.com/view.html , about diabetes diet.
Best of luck.

Depending on your financial status, your state may be able to provide you with insurance. Unfortunately, many people without children and that are not pregnant just don't get the help they need. What state is it that you live in? Feel free to email me at amiekalista22@yahoo.com or amiekalista@windstream.net and give me your email address or phone number, whichever you are more comfortable with, and I can contact you about a great health care savings plan that not only saves you 30-40% at the doctor, but up to 60% on prescriptions and 40% savings on diabetic supplies. Also, feel free to call me at 912-654-8852, and my name is Amie Kalista.

Simple really. MOVE TO CANADA. Universal health care means everyone here is entitled to free health care (dr.'s, hospital, surgeries, etc). Prescriptions prices are reduced by the federal government and any costs that you incur go toward a yearly deductible. Reach your deductible (based on income) and everything else is free.
My husband is a diabetic and we usually reach our deductible in September (the deductible year starts in April) and so for 7 months of the year our prescriptions are 100% covered.

I don't think it works as far as doctor's appointments but Montel Williams started the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) and it's supposed to help get you prescriptions at little to no cost. I don't know if you have seen the commercials for it or not but maybe if you searched for it online you could find the phone number for it. I really hope this can help you.
