Why are there doctors who smoke despite all the warnings on cigarette smoking?

Cigarettes are addictive. Even though they have a warning label right on the package saying the product is harmful to your health people still smoke. Quitting smoking was one of the hardest things I ever did. After 1.5 years I still think about it everyday.

smoking is a habit and sometimes we can develop a habit even though it is not good for us, such as not flossing our teeth regularily, or drinking soda, or not fastening our seat belts, however with smoking it is physically addictive and people start for many reasons, the doctors know about the health warnings and i am sure they want to quit but from personal experience it is very difficult to quit, i think we just need to realize that no one is perfect, not even doctors, and even though they may smoke we have a choice and we don't have to, i have been smoke free for two months now and i love not smoking... i would love to see the cigarette companies go bankrupt because everyone quit smoking!

Because they are just normal people like you and me with and extensive eduction, doctors are human, not super human.
