I haven't been able to find any of the following either:
peanut oil; almond oil; tapioca strach; coconut cream (I've only found canned coconut milk)

Depends on where you are. 99 Ranch Market is the largest Asian chain store on the West Coast and carries all of that.

I use all of these items and get them from my local health food store, There are also many online sources. If your HFS doesnt carry them, perhaps you could ask your local grocery store to get them-I often get my store to carry items. Agar is REALLY cool! It gels so fast! I made a yummy dessert by just mixing it with RW Knudson pure black cherry juice. Yum! If you cant get tapioca starch, just buy some tapioca pearls and whiz them up in a food processor, coffee grinder, or blender

Contrary to what the last answer says, my local Whole Foods does not carry tapioca starch. Every store seems to have peanut oil, though.

all ethnic asian stores will have these specific items especially here on the west coast. even most large supermarkets will carry them in the asian aisle (albertsons, safeway, vons, ralphs...).

even trader joes, whole foods, wild oats...
