ok here's my situation. my ex boyfriend had hep b and i just found out that he had it while i was with him and sleeping with him. we didn't use protection. i am vaccinated and i have been tested twice since and both came up negative. i haven't had sex with him in 2 yrs. (Both times i got tested were recently) Could i all of a sudden get it one day say in 5 yrs from having sex with him before? What i mean is say my vaccine for hep b runs out, is the virus just "sitting" in my body waiting for the vaccine to run out or does the vaccine kill it on contact? please help i'm so scared.

The virus is not still in your body. The vaccine destroyed it before it was able to infect you. Five years from now it will not show up. I work in the health care field, and if someone receives a possible exposure, they are tested at one month, six months, and one year. If you've tested negative one year after the last time you had sex with your ex, you're negative.
