Several hundred people die from heart disease every day, and many of them are not aware of having it. Many people will die from their first heart attack, even though they have not had any previous symptoms to even be aware that it is on the way. There are several high school athletes that die every year from heart disease even though they are physically fit and young. You can help to reduce your risk by eating a healthy diet, controlling your weight, avoiding a lot of fatty foods and high cholesterol foods, avoiding high stress situations when possible, not smoking or drinking alcohol or a lot of caffeine, limit your use of added salt. etc. A family history of heart disease also puts you at higher risk and makes it even more important to avoid some of the other risk factors.

Many of those young High School atheletes above spoke of have a rare form of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. called IHSS (Idiopathic Hypertrophic Sub-aortic Stenosis) where the left ventricular wall and septum muscle become enlarged. Causing problems with the valve and the blood flow leaving and entering the left ventricul. The disease is sometimes inherited but doctors do not Know what causes it. Hence the Idiopathic part. With this disease it is entirely possible for your heart to literally explode in your chest. And you can get this disease even if you eat right and do all the other things you should do to maintain a healthy heart. I know I have it Lucky for me I got symptoms wich most people do not get and was able to have a ICD implanted and to go on medication though none of that helps with the symptoms and I am still at severe risk of sudden cardiac death. What I am trying to say I guess is that sometimes even doing all the right things excercise diet all that you still can get heartdisease. Sometimes crap just happens. PS I am 27 yrs old and was diagnosed 3 yrs ago. I was in the military airborne and all that so I was very physically fit. This disease doesn't come from cheeseburgers and greasy fries. If anything it came from to much exercise. So remember this to much of anything can be bad for you lol.

Many times, the first symptom of heart disease is a fatal heart attack. The best you can do is control the factors that are under your control. Those are: Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure, weight (diet and exercise) and DO NOT SMOKE. The only thing you can't control is genetics. Stay healthy and you'll be fine.

Happens every day in every place all over the world !!
The signs of heart problems are subtle and very hard to detect for a lot of people -- it can worsen so slowly that it actually is a stealth kind of thing-- more or less sneaking up on you slowly over time !! All the better for people to be aware and to pay attention to even the small signs that they see within their personal health and to be vigilent in doing annual exams with the doctor !!!

Yes, my friend's son died at the age of 31 while he was out jogging. He was supposedly in excellent health but collapsed while out jogging and died immediately.
Also, my uncle visited his doctor for his usual annual checkup and was pronounced in great condition but he had a stroke shortly after this visit. I guess it's really true that while doctors do the best the know how to do they are still only "practicing" medicine.

i easily think of the vet replaced into basically giving an common answer with a view to no longer get overly technical with the owner. My daughter's snake did a similar element, it replaced into relatively an enlarged coronary heart that had a seizure.
