Hello,

I am an Echocardiographer, meaning I do ultrasound of the heart. Your symptoms could be many things from a pulled muscle to an impending heart attack. You need to take chest pain seriously and get to the ER. You could have fluid in the sac that contains your heart called the pericardium. This is called a pericardial effusion and can result from many causes but usually chest injury of some sort. It can become more difficult to breath when lying down when there is fluid in the pericardial sac because the fluid exerts a pressure on the heart making it more difficult to pump. But this is all just guessing! You need to go to the ER and let them check for lung and heart problems. Hopefully its just a pulled muscle but if it's not and you wait you may be risking your life or at a minimum your quality of life! Please take the chest pressure/pain and difficulty breathing seriously and get to the ER so the experts can tell you everything is Ok or not. Take care and I will pray you get to the ER ASAP!

A pneumothorax is when you have a hole in your lung and the air is escaping into your lung cavity. I highly doubt you have that...you would always be having a hard time breathing it that were the case. You should see your doc or go to the ER, you need blood tests to show if it is cardiac or if it's not. Chest pain, or matter how slight, is not something to "wait and see" about.

Could just be sore muscles or GI problems but could also be symptom of a heart attack in progress. The feeling of pressure and difficulty breathing is one of the most common signs of heart attact. A lung condition called pleurisy could also result in these symptoms. I would suggest getting it checked out ASAP, your life could depend upon it. As far as being worse when you lay down, this is common with most discomforts, When you lie down to sleep, your mind is not busy with other things and you tend to notice any pain that you are experiencing more vividly.

i'm no longer a doctor, yet.... in basic terms by using fact each and everything become ok in the hospital does not advise that no situation exists; it in basic terms potential that the assessments they ran did no longer tutor any desire for situation on the time. Heartburn looks like an exceptionally smart reason whilst each and everything else has been ruled out, and that they could have stated a scientific look after that. If the subject persists for extra effective than a pair days or worsens after scientific care she could seek for scientific interest. Regardless, it incredibly is a robust theory for her to stay in touch together with her family contributors standard practitioner and to maintain save on with up appointments. solid success.

Don't fool around. Get to a doctor. I thought I was having indigestion once, but it wouldn't go away. I went to the hospital and had five bypass surgery the next day. Don't wait. Find out what it is that's bothering you.
