Yes. Jell-o contains gelatin. Gelatin is an animal protein obatined usually from pigs and cattle. Animals must be butchered in order for the gelatin to be harvested. Look for vegetarian jell-o-like products in a health food store. These are made with agar-agar, a sea vegetable by-product.

you can`t be serious???ok...lets`s say it is ....it would be an altered tofu!!! why don`t you try making some and then fry it at a low heat for 20 minutes adding onions and green peppers?

no it is not. It does have pig's hooves [gelitin] in it but no meat. It is vegitarian, not vegan

Only if you make it with eggs, nuts, and beans. You could make it with ham, chicken, or tuna and count it as meat for sure.
