Well, this might sound crazy but there is a possibilty. HOW is how do you know they are not infected? Even if they have gotten tested how do you know they didnt take the test to soon? With stds or stIs there are periods of incubation I think that is what it is called. Meaning it is in the body and wont show up for a matter of time. If you take the test too soon then it will show up (-) when you actully could have it. Some people get infected and it doesnt show up for years. If you get tested for hiv *atleast at my doctors office* it says on the paper that this is not 100% accurate and more details. I myself have been scared as well. I know its hard but get tested. Even if you dont go to the doctors *which you really should* go to a drug store and they should have a hiv-1 testing kit. It will tell you the next day and it is like 60 dollars. I hope this helpes anyone who is in need of it.

If you know that the person is uninfected, then how could you possibly get HIV from them? You sound concerned though, maybe you should get tested.

You would have to have unprotected sex with someone who has HIV. However, it takes up to 6 months after infection for a positive HIV test. Also, many people who are infected (similar to Herpes) do not know they have it. Best bet is to keep your partners to a minimum, keep tabs on your health, and use protection.

You have to have bodily fluid exchange with someone who has HIV to get it. Sex or sharing needles being the two most common ways of getting it. You can't get it from someone who doesn't have the virus in their system. But a person could have it and not know it. So always practice safe sex. Please.

You can't get HIV/Aids from someone who doesn't have it. However, having any kind of unprotected sex with anyone is a bad idea. There's **** out there that scares the hell out of penicillin.

Please use a condom. You never know for sure if someone is uninfected. Keep one with you, everywhere you go, like a best friend.
