Chocolate Mice Kisses
Ingredients:
One package of Oreo cookies, any kind you desire.
One bag of Hersheys Kisses
One Jar of Marachino Cherries with the stems still attached
One tub of chocolate for dipping (they have the kind now that you can just put in the microwave, its in the baking aisle)
One bag of sliced almonds
One tube of black gel found in cake decorating section.
Seperate the oreos and keep the bottom half with the creme still on it. Unwrap hersheys kisses. Melt chocolate as directed. Dip marachino cherry in chocolate leaving stem exposed. Immediately put cherry sideways onto oreo (oreo with creme side up) Put hersheys kiss with point facing away from cherry stem so that it looks like a mouse with a tail and its head looking up. Stick two sliced almonds in to look like ears. Apply two dots of black gel on hersheys kiss as eyes, and a couple of dots around mouse like little mouse turds. Important to put each mouse together one at a time so that everything adheres together with the still melted chocolate. I tried doing and assemlby line once and ended up melting more chocolate to use as glue to hold it all together. These little guys turn out so cute and are always a hit. Good luck!!

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMEPf
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

A Cotillion is a special occasion and formal. So the after party dessert needs to be formal. Petit fours, scones, Eclairs, Pralines are all more formal type of finger desserts.
I know you said the after party was going to be more casual, but these deserts are not expensive to make and will not be the usual fare that is served. Something befitting the occasion always make it memorable and these deserts are tasty also!

4 1/2 cups Rice Krispies

Spread the rice krispie mixture evenly on the wax paper.
In a bowl, mix filling ingredients together.
Spread filling on rice krispie mixture and roll up like a jelly roll.
Slice when cool, and store in the refrigerator.
An easier way is to make rice krispie treats like normal, but spread in a jelly roll pan. sprinkle chocolate chips over the mixture while it is warm, the chips will melt in a couple of minutes. Roll up tightly and put in the fridge. Slice in 1/2 inch slices

mini cheese cakes, with cherry or blueberry topping? always a big hit with burgers and dogs...
INGREDIENTS:
2 (8oz.) pkgs. softened cream cheese
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tbs. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
Vanilla wafers
cherry pie filling, fruit topping or preserves
PREPARATION:
Beat together cream cheese, sugar, eggs, lemon juice and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Line muffin tins with cupcake papers. Place a vanilla wafer in bottom of each. Fill about 2/3 full with cheese mixture.
Bake @ 350 for 20-25 minutes or until just set. Let cool in pans, then remove and top with cherry pie filling or filling of your choice. I make lemon topping or sometimes use various preserves. Chill and serve. This makes 12-14 depending on the size of your muffin tins. Enjoy!

What the helk is a 6th grade house party? If it is at school make a batch of Scotcharoos, kids love them
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of Light corn syrup (Karo)
1 1/2 cup of peanut butter
Melt the above in a heavy sauce pan, bring to a boil. Stir in 6 cups of rice krispies and spread evenly in a pan, make the top nice and flat.
When it cools:
melt 1/2 bag of semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 bag of butterscotch chips
over low heat, when melted spread on top of the krispies and let the frosting harden.
These go over very, very well. To cut I use my pizza cutter!

What about mini cheesecakes? Just get the Jello box and make the cheesecakes in a mini muffin tin, rather than regular size. You can even get the paper liners. It's quick and easy for you. And it's something that can be individually handed out. Good luck and enjoy the party!

Being a 6th grade teacher my students love desserts of course but other favorites are:
sliced apples with caramel dip
cut up fruit with whipped cream for dipping
veggies with ranch dip
Just thought that I'd add a few to the list, hope it helps!
