Frontal lobe damage has been suggested by psychology researchrs to cause major changes in personality. Someone who was once talkative, outgoing and friendly who suffers frontal lobe damage could become quiet, introverted and rude. It can also affect motor skills.

There is a wide variety of types of damage. Some people demonstrate executive function deficits such as multi tasking, organizational skills and high level cognitive deficits. Changes in personality may be possible also. If it is from a head injury, a speech therapy can evaluate impairments and make recommendations.
