No..fish is an animal..vegetarians do not eat animals. Eggs found at the supermarket have never been nor will they ever be embryos since they have never been fertilized.

"vegetarian" is a general term encompassing a number of diets --
If you eat fish you are a "pescatarian" , if that qualifies you to still fall under the umbrella term of being a vegetarian depends on who you ask.
There are many, many different ways that people choose to practice a "vegetarian diet" -- often to the point where there is disagreement as to whether it even qualifies. There are also "ovo-lacto" vegetarians who eat eggs and dairy products (this is probably the most common). A vegan does not eat any animal products. Some still eat gelatin (yes, like Jello) and consider themselves a vegetarian. While in fact, gelatin is an animal product. Some vegetarians wear leather, some don't. And so on...
This is a personal choice for you, and whether or not it is considered to be "vegetarian" can be a matter of semantics.

Vegetarians do not eat animals... ever.... of any kind.
Not eating dead animals is in fact, specifically what vegetarians do. It is fine if a person eats fish, but that person is in no way any type of vegetarian.
There is no *type* of vegetarian that eats certain animals. None. Eating animals and being a vegetarian are mutually-exclusive terms. If people even like to use the term "pescatarian" that is fine... there is no real purpose for it, but if people like to have a label, it is up to them. But a pescatarian is NO type of vegetarian.. there is NO pesco-vegetarian either.
There is also no *demi* or *semi* anything... you either are or you arent. People who call themselves demi-whatever are omnivores. They eat animals. They eat vegetables.
One who eats fish or chicken is not accepted by any vegetarian society, but only by people with junk websites who have no idea what they are talking about.
Vegetarian = No Animals
People who eat fish and feel the need to call themselves vegetarians only make life difficult for real vegetarians. Thanks to them when a vegetarian requests a vegetarian meal, some ill-informed person may stick a dead animal in it.
Sorry if I seem a bit rude, but non-vegetarians who insist on using the terms occasionally make me want to bop them on the head. I have worked very hard at this lifestyle because it is something I believe in.
Oh yes, eggs are not animals. Eggs are nothing more than a chicken's period as it is unfertilized by sperm. Even the most devout anti-abortion person does not consider a woman's period to be life.
I personally do not eat eggs because of the torture involved.
:)

if you dont eat meat, but do eat seafood, you would be a pescatarian (pesc, from picses the fish) Egss are NOT chicken embryos and more than when a woman has a period that THAT is an embryo. If the egg was never fertilized, it is nothing more than the placenta. Eggs are NOT meat. There are some great pescatarian recipe groups on yahoo groups.

Vegetarianism
is the practice of not consuming meat, with or without the use of other animal derivatives, such as dairy products or eggs. Some vegetarians choose to also refrain from wearing clothing involving the death of animals, such as leather, silk and fur. Veganism, sometimes called "strict vegetarianism", excludes all animal products from diet and attire, whether or not this involves the actual death of an animal (dairy, eggs, honey, wool and down feathers). Vegetarians have varied motivations including religious, financial, ethical, environmental, and health concerns.

No, and Wile eating eggs is a horrible thing for the Chickens involved it's not comparable with eating fish in the way you are asking the question. Eggs are not sentient, they are not subjects of a life. Fish on the other hand are. Now if you want to talk about the suffering involved in each, I would have to agree that their is really no difference in eating one over the other.

Depends why you became a veggy. (i am also vegetarian) if it was for health reasons then it doesn't matter whether you eat fish or not. If it was for moral reasons (ie the death scenario) then you are not a vegetarian as you generally go by the 'no food with a face' rule. And by the ways vegetarians still eat eggs because they are unfertilized and could never have been chicks in the first place.

No you wouldn't. The dictionary definition of vegetarian is herbivore. Killing another animal to eat it, even a fish is not vegetarian.
There are different types of vegetarians
Ovo-vegetarian (who eats eggs)
lacto-vegetarian (who eats dairy)
ovo-lacto vegetarian (who eats eggs and dairy) vegan (who eat no products that come from animals in any sort of way)
raw foodist (very strict diet consisting mainly of raw vegetables)
