i have chronic cough since 2yrs withwhite sputum and horseness in voice.i feel dyspnea on sitting and talking.i didnt have hemoptosis and weight loss.can anybody help me out

That's a pretty specific set of symptoms -- is this you, or your pathophysiology homework assignment?

Anyway, lack of hemoptysis and weight loss classically rules out malignancy and pneumonia.

Dyspnea at rest is more characteristic of restrictive lung disease, but can also be obstructive. Productive cough is more consistent with obstructive lung disease, so I would be leaning more in that direction.

Productive cough since 2 years of age, with cloudy sputum is very suggestive of chronic, non-infectious bronchitis. Asthma is not productive, and bronchiectasis produces a much different scenario -- that rules out the 2 other major obstructive diseases. So, I think the closest diagnosis, without further information, is chronic bronchitis -- have chest x-rays to confirm.

You may have allergies. Chronic coughs and mucus are often allergies.
