All carbs are broken into simple carbs and eventually turned into glucose which yields 4 calories per gram. If your sugar is going low so frequently that weight is an issue due to glucose pills, you need to adjust your meds . Talk with doc.

Glucose is a form of sugar. All carbohydrates, including sugars, contain 4 calories per gram. ALL of them. No calories = no increase in blood sugar. Your body burns off 15 calories in a matter of seconds by simply surviving. You shouldn't need to be taking glucose tablets very often. If you are, then the calories and weight won't matter -- you will die long before you gain weight.
Otherwise - ask your doctor. She may have more advice.
