Time.
During that time, it's better to avoid new relationships or trying to fill the emptiness you feel with someone else. IT never works out and you end up breaking someone else's heart in the process. While keeping your heart close to you during this time, you could do whatever makes you happy that is not going to damage you further. Drinking will make you forget, but if you don't experience the pain of your broken heart, it will never heal. Believe it.
Focus on creating a clean slate for yourself so that you can approach love with a fresh state of mind by doing all those things that make you happy. Friends are great to spend time with during this time as much as possible if you are really sad. When you are ready to give all of yourself to a relationship, not just little pieces, that is when you are ready for real love again. Please remember that nobody wants the fragments left over from a previous heartache and you don't have to settle for that in another person either. True love is two whole hearts choosing each other, not two broken hearts seeking solace in the other.
peace.

Time. Keeping active and distracted by activities helps in the meantime. Finally, when you find someone new, the cure will be complete.

Alot of tears and keep talking about your pain. I feel for you. Been there and don't ever want to go back. A broken heart is so painful. :(

Don't listen to these others. I'm telling you. Drink Drink Drink. Go grab a bunch of friend and have a blast. Keep going through the motions of having a good time and soon it will become natural.

A wise woman once told me that once you have something to look forward to, you can let go of the past.
