Any one, no matter the age, who is concerned enough to post a question about chest pain, should be concerned enough to go seek medical help. I've seen 29 year old men have heart attacks. They could do an EKG and blood test in the ER to see if it's your heart or not. If you have ANY risk factors, smoking, family history, drug use, high cholesterol, high B/P, diabetes----go in for a check especially. Other things can cause chest pain besides your heart, but if you're concerned, go get help.

It depends on how old you are and what your family history is. In general, a person suffering from a heart attack may experience one or all of the following symptoms:
- diaphoresis(perfuse sweating)
- vomiting
- crushing chest pain-people often describe this like someone is sitting on their chest
- chest pain the radiates to the left arm or jaw
- difficulty breathing
- hypertension (high blood pressure)
- tachycardia ( fast heart rate)
A doctor will do other diagnostic test such as EKG, and blood test to confirm a heart attack. If you are ever in doubt or think you may be having a heart attack, you should follow up with your family doctor or go to the hospital.
Heart attacks can happen in a second or can endure for days without the patient knowing he is having a heart attack.

A heart attacks happens and it does not last. When the artery is closed of ..that is it. If you are fast you can alter a heart attack in the beginning phase with asperine and other medications.....so you have to get fast into the ER....Young people have ess chances although you never know...If it worsens with breathing it is related to your chest and or lungs....Hope this helps. To do preventive medicine. See source.

It can be symptomless in diabetics.
It may last for a few minutes/or for hours and patient may report after during attack which has no time limits or with post myocardial damage in ER.
All those who are known case K/C of AMI should report immediately to the nearest ER, or contact 911/ service available in your country.
