Most hospitals do routine blood work unless they tell you otherwise. If you have a good reason not to take a test, then find somewhere else to work. Because, if you have something you don't want to show up, a hospital is the last place you want to be. Think about the other people, the patients. There are enough bad germs there now.

there are forms showing all the tests that could be carried out on blood.generally, the referring clinician will mark those tests that are to be done. for sometests , blood has to be drawn from the vein, the quantity dependingupon the type of tests,:a few others require the fingertip to be pricked. all the best !

If they are testing your blood for you to work in a hospital they are probably checking for antibodies that prove you have had the vaccinations that are required to take when you go to school. They are probably also drug testing you.

that is most any blood test. they check for glucose levels, cholesterol, white cell count, tons of stuff. you can go into your doctor and tell them that you are concerned about your blood and ask for a blood test. its pretty routine and you shouldnt get any flack from the doctor

if they are testing your blood sugar level, they poke your finger with a tiny needle that is in a device. it doesn't hurt. then they get a tiny drop of blood, and put it on a testing strip. then in 30 seconds or less, you know what your bloodsugar level is.
