My dad is on Oxygen and can't handle the big carry on case w/t dolly, he says he's seen somewhere where you can use a tiny Oxygen tank on your side, and it lasts about 4-6hrs?
Also, it plugs into a cigarette lighter? I can't find this anywhere, even Ebay???

If you want small and lightweight, you'll need to use Liquid Oxygen instead of a conventional E Cylinder on a Dolly. They make smaller high pressure tanks (C and D cylinders) but they tend not to last long in practical use. If your dad is using low flow, but uses it for long durations, Liquid is the answer.

"One liter of liquid oxygen equals 860 gaseous liters." -as quoted from nlhep.org. So if your dad is running 2 L/min of oxygen, you'll have over 7 hours worth of oxygen in that one liter of liquid oxygen.

You will need to contact your dad's supplier, but they should be able to find you a suitable system. I'll dig around and look for a few "links" to add to the source list below. That way, you'll know specifically what to ask for.

Here, this one is good to define what options you have:

This one is a small compact design:

This one defines the pros/cons of each type of oxygen delivery:

Good luck. Hope this info helps.

There probably are small portable tanks like you're talking about, but it might be worth looking into getting a portable oxygen concentrator. There are many benefits of using these instead of tanks. Just look around online and do the research.

You need to speak with your Dad's doctor about prescribing one, then you can get them from a medical supply company. The company that supplies your Dad's oxygen probably can get them for you with a prescription. If your Dad's doctor writes it up that he can not use the larger kind it should be covered with his insurance.
