But seriously, my favorite is broccoli (lightly blanched and then sauteed with garlic and butter and sea salt)

yeh but you could have gone with what's your favorite fruit, or meat, or anything along those lines. My favorite vegetable is cauliflower, but only because tomatoes are fruit.
