My boyfriend has HPV and I already know about traditional things, such as using condoms and the Gardisil vaccine. I am wondering if there is anything else I can do to prevent myself from getting an STD.

yeah, the HPV shots are good, and condoms, but I dont know if there is anything else that can help prevent other than abstinance, so either use condoms, etc. or find a new boyfriend.

I am a HPV sufferer myself and if you know the facts then you should know that unfortunately condoms do not always protect from HPV.....this is because its not about your partners sperm (like traditional std's) its about skin to skin contact.

Have him tested and tested again in 6 months and read the test results and then still use protection. Can't be too careful today. Make sure he tests for Hep C, Aids, all the other little bugs and be sure he isn't fooling around, if you can't trust him get rid of him. Start over and make sure they don't have anything before sex. I know of nothing else to protect against HPV than those you mentioned but you can call the local health dept. and ask them. Good luck.

There is no way except abstinance, which is at some point in your life unrealistic. Use a condom, and expect that you'll get it, because 80% of the sexually active population of this country has it!

HPV now has a shot women can take to prevent. Ask your doctor.

Get the vaccine and make sure he sees a doctor to get treatment and a full STD check up. Always use condoms or maybe consider getting a new STD free BF. Not to be mean but you dont have to stay with a dirty man.
