Are you in the States? I know for sure we have Chineese Take- out (thats what we call it here) but in my small town of 16,0000, we don't even have Indian restaurants. But maybe in larger cities?

Yes, have done it many times. Lots of people do it. In big cities,
like mumbai, pune, b'lore.... it's available & common. You can order punjabi, dosas, desi chinese, kebabs, tandoori... it's all available.
have even done domino's pizza delivery in India!
