The animals gas comes from were dead millions of years ago. We know for a fact it was due to natural causes such as health or hunting for food. Animal cruelty didn't exist then, what humans may have been around were too busy just surviving themselves. When they did kill, it wasn't an animal farmed in unacceptable conditions raised solely for food, hide, etc. As the song "Circle of Life" thats just what it was, nature running its unintruded course. Now if gas came from animals breed, raised and killed today, that would be different, that's was veganism really is, to protect whats alive or potentially born and to educate the heartless and/or ignorant. So yes, vegans can use gas because although it comes from animals, there's a 100% chance they died of natural causes and led their lives in the way nature intended too.

Being a vegan is a dietary choice, many vegans also chose not to use animal products but they don't have to to be defined as a vegan. The reason vegans choose not to use animal products is that it conflicts with their morals, usually animal treatment related. Because no dinosaurs were mistreated in order to make oil, this doesn't conflict their morals.

Well its not abusing an animal, they died wayy to long ago. But for eco reasons its bad for the environment and for foreign dependency on oil to use too much gasoline.

Yes. They are allowed to do anything, including eat meat. It just depends on what they choose. They don't eat eggs, even though the chicken didn't die. If a fish washes up on the shore, will they eat that?

Do you mean because it's made from Dinosaurs? That is an interesting point. The dinos weren't killed specifically to create gas.

We are "allowed" to do whatever we want. We "choose" not to do some things.

that's a different view- I think vegans just can't EAT meat-I suppose they could play baseball w/ a hind quarter if they wanted-just as long as they didn't BBQ after.
