Get some yogurt! Yogurt has active culture in it which helps balance the "good" bacteria and the "bad" bacteria in a woman's vagina.

Antibiotics are known to cause yeast infections! It's happened to me a few times and even in the hospital when I was receiving IV antibiotics. It is really common!

Try the monistat and the yogurt and if it doesn't go away you really should see a doctor and get some medication for it. Good luck to you!

You are correct. It is "yeast", candidiasis. The doctor that treated your UTI would normally treat your "yeast" infection, give him/her a call and ask. Monistat works about half the time, Diflucan or Fluconizole (on the $4 list at Walmart) works 85% of the time. Yogurt (live culture/non-pasteurized) works about half the time by itself but can definitely help. Terazol works 95% of the time.
I usually warn my patients about "yeast" infections and usually call in a prescription for the treatment when it occurs without needing another office visit unless something else is wrong.

Take the Monistat completely- antibiotics can cause yeast infections.

Taking live culture yogurt or probiotics like bifidus or acidopholous from the fridge section of health food stores can replenish the bacteria the antibiotics knocked out.
