wait until your baby starts eating off of your plate.
if it is old enough give your baby a plum or carrot to chew on.
small babies need only breast milk.
when they are ready they will start eating.
you will know because they will grab food off of your plate.
raised two healthy (and not overweight) kids this way.
they are in their 20s and turned out great.

when my boys were babies I made all my own baby food and froze it in ice cube trays. Then each day, I'd just pick out a selection and heat it up. I pureed anything and everything. I would use a little chicken broth or water to help the process. If the food isn't too spicy you can puree what you are eating. If we were having chicken breasts, I'd make sure a couple were baked plain, and after supper puree them in the blender, into the ice cube tray for later days. Same as the vegetables we were eating, and usually something like rice or potato.
By 10- 12 months, my boys were all eating regular food in soft bite sized peices. But it depends on your child. My kids were all walking around the same age and had really good hand control and had no problem sitting in the high chair, eating their own food.

It this is a very young baby (without teeth) - feed it a little baby cereal (such as rice or oatmeal), mixed with a little formula and perhaps some baby fruit (like bananas or applesauce). That will definitely help a baby sleep through the night.
If she is a little older (with teeth) - I would feed her something like Mac & Cheese maybe with some cooked carrot cubes and peas. A scrambled egg with some toast points is always good at night. Some cooked pasta with a little butter or sauce is also good.

It depends on how old your baby is? I would be careful not to give the baby anything too heavy for its stomach. For example egg custard or stewed fruits, yoghurt, or anything else that is nice and soft and light. If your baby has teeth leave the foods like vegetables and meat for lunchtime. If your baby is under 6 months I would stick to milk only but if thats insufficient add some milk to a little cereal like rice cereal any cereal suitable for a baby.

I make my own for my 7 months old girl. Sometimes just sweet mashed potato. She loves it. Or I cook some veggies like carrots, potatos, green beans and peas with a nice piece of beef or chicken. A tiny tiny bit of salt (start introducing it). After is cooked I add tomato paste and blend it. I make enough for 2 or 3 days.
But u can look here, at this site for ideas.

Just how old is this baby? Adult babies, such as husbands and significant others, can eat just about anything. Kids tastes differ during the high school ages. Younger kids like chicken nuggets and french fries, apple wedges, jello, yogurt, pizza, and carrots. And toddlers like just about anything they can hold in their little hands. Babies???? Well, aside from breast milk, we're talking about cereal, fruit, anything that's blended for those little gums!
