I see this caption most of the times at the end of the movies. I believe this is monitored by "American Humane society".

In the above case, is my assumption true that all of the people in that organization are strict vegitarians or are those like discussing about 'animal rights' over a lunch with a 'yummy' tender loin chops?

Good point.

Maybe some wealthy veggie should challange that statement in court sometime soon, it would show up the hypocrisy of people thinking cats, dogs and horses are animals but not cows, sheep or chickens

emmm, i might think about this one next time i see the statement and figure out who i approach to challange them.

You up for that ?

In fact, i''ve got some time so i'll write to a few film studios today.

Does anyone have the exact wording used in the films so i can quote it ?

Anyone who wants to see the results just email me via my profile.

EDIT:

Here is my letter just sent to Universal Films:

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I notice universal Studios use a statement in the credits to some of thier films that states no animals were harmed during the making of the movie.

Can you please confirm that all the cafeteria and refreshments used in these films are vegetarian.

Obviously, killing an animal to eat it would constitute "harm" so i just want to confirm that your statements are truthful

Thank you,

Michael H, I'm going to be sending you a bill for the CRT and keyboard I just spit tea all over. I'll be joining you in sending letters to the movie studios!!!

Unfortunately they just mean that no 'animal actors' were injured. But I personally like the idea of only vegan meals on the sets!

Hey, Leinesworld, God did give Adam and Eve a list of things that they could eat in the Book of Genesis. He said they could eat the fruit of any tree in the garden of Eden. He put them in stewardship of the animals, but did not say they could eat the creatures. Check it out, I'm not making this up.

Here's the text and the link:

28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

When it says "No animals Were Harmed" it means that no animals were hurt or killed in the making of the movie or show it dosent count what they do over lunch.

This is a very good question.

I often wonder how many people of the people that are against animal testing and against wearing fur and against animal cruelty are actually vegetarian.

Thanks for making people think!

You can rest and be asure that PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) has a hand in the process, the nut orginization that would go as far as harming other human beings to make it cause heard. I think that is the real cause for concern.

It is to keep the people at PETA off their backs.

i believe "no animals were harmed" applies only to physical abuse and not food preparation. although there are some people who insist that animals are hurt when they are slaughtered i have this question to throw back at them: didn't God, in Genesis, give the list of animals and plants people can eat on earth?

no you are not to assume that. they put that on there for people like you, but clever one like you figured it out.

what it means is they didn't harm any creatures that did not need to be to accomplish whatever dumb shite they were doing.
