Animal lovers, health nuts... there is no particular type. There are many different reasons why people become vegetarians. Most do it for animal rights/ethical reasons. Some for health, religion...They aren't smarter or better than non-vegetarians. Sometimes they are actually close minded because some of them think you are trash if you aren't a vegetarian. It's a matter of personal choice. Different reasons for different people. If you are looking into becoming one. Read up on it. It takes dedication if that is not the type of diet that you were brought up with.

A meat-eater once told me that all the vegetarians he knew were very spiritually-minded people. I never thought about it before, but I suppose there could be something to that. I'm veg and I guess I consider myself a spiritual person.

Many types, generally they come from A1 ( as defined by marketing ) classes of society.
This doesn't mean all veggies are A1. It means that people who think about thier diet and the effect on animals are likely to be from the more intelligent areas of the community.
Just fact, not opinion

The human kind:) Seriously, people concerned with their health, their impact on this planet (environment, other living organisms, resource allocation and consumption, fuel use etc), and people concerned with how their food choices impact other people's ability to live, e.g. the amount of grain and water it takes to raise one beef cow would feed many families for quite awhile
