a blacklight would fit that perfectly. the bulb is purple and it's best against a black background. u can find one online. balloons floating up on the ceiling with ribbon hanging down in your colors. chocolate cupcakes with purple dyed food coloring. any supermarket bakery could make them for you if you didn't want to.

What is the person into? Sounds like gothic colors to me. Use lots of candles. Also you could use a fog machine if you have one.

go with a fun fantasy party with fairies and dragons use black lights and neon signs to make it more fun. my friends and i love the party i threw. our colors were about the same as yours.
