Having a casino theme party? Think red and black, and especially green! Decorate your place with fake money, chips and cards. Turn the lights down low and string twinkly lights everywhere to create mood.
Provide each of your guests with little buckets for their winnings. To keep people circulating, give everyone a score card that keeps tracks of how many games they've tried -- this will insure that everyone's interacting.
Cover tables with black felt and use a white paint marker to draw blackjack, craps, and baccarat lines, or buy premade game layouts. You should have a rule book handy in case there are any disputes, but don't forget this old adage: the house always wins!

casino party food ideas
When you think casino, you generally think drinks and lots of them, but don't forget to fortify people's stomachs with some good food!
If your Casino leans more towards the highbrow, bust out the chafing dish and serve Swedish meatballs or warm crab and artichoke dip. Or stoke your guests' appetites with spicy foods like wings, chips with charred corn salsa and tangy tomato bruschette.
Hand out plenty of cocktail napkins so that hands, cards and tables stay clean. You don't want anything to undermine the legitimacy of your operation!

Casino Food & Cake
Be sure to have lots of finger food, arranged on tables scattered throughout the room. Guests can eat or snack between games and festivities of the evening won’t be disrupted.
Mini sandwiches, chips, nuts, and pretzels are all good snacks to serve.
Make sure you have lots of punch, soda, water, and other beverages on hand throughout the evening.
Just like in Vegas, an all-you-can-eat buffet is a nice break in the evening for all of the diehard gamblers in attendance!
Casino Personalized Candy Bar Party Favors
If you plan on setting up a basic bar, plan to have the following on hand for every 10 adult guests:
1 case of beer
2 liters of seltzer
3 liters of soft drinks (diet and regular)
2 quarts of fruit juice
Plenty of chilled bottled mineral water (sparkling and flat)
2 bottles of wine – one red, one white
Hard liquor – a fifth makes approximatly 14 drinks
Lemon and lime wedges and twists, olives and other garnish
Lots of ice – plan on 1 lb. per adult guest for the evening.

Food Ideas:
Since Casino Parties are mostly focused on the activities at the party and less on the food, you can get by with heavy appetizers and desserts. Some great ideas to consider for your hungry guests include:
Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail
Italian Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms
Chips and Salsa or Nacho Cheese
Crab and Artichoke Dip with Pita Wedges*
Poker Chip Cookies
Black Velvet Cake

Depending on how many people, bake a few 9x13 cakes, flavor of your choice, cut each in as many squares as you can and dip in melted white chocolate. When cool, decorate each square with red hots to make them look like dice.
