Sinusitis causes those headaches so you need an antibiotic to get rid of the sinusitis. Unless you get on antibitoitics to get rid of the sinus infection the headaches will continue. For the cough and mucous drink lots of liqiuids and use mucinex to help loosen up the phlegm. You can use Sudafed for the blocked ears which are also from the sinusitis.

Headaches When Coughing

The headache is because the amount of oxygen you are getting is not enough and this takes away oxygen from your blood. When you cough the circulation slightly slows down a bit, and this summed up to the lack of oxygen will make your head hurt, specially if you cough too many times in a roll.
Yes you may have sinusitis and this may get to cause a chronic cold. Get a doctor (neumology), he'll tell you what to do. You may also have mucus in your lungs, so any physician who knows about masotherapy should help you, specially physiotherapists, a good physiotherapist knows about masotherapy (this is used even on babies and very old people), which will help you to quickly getting rid of the mucus in your lungs.
Also the sinusitis has a compression effect on your face, plus coughing adds up such compression effect and all this do get your head to ache.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/mucinex...

If you go there you will note that while mucinex is, in fact, a pharmacuetical product available for thinning mucus it has been approved since 1952; which means that while mucinex has cutsie commercials with dancing globs of green goo it is NOT the cheapest product that will do the job. ANY generic form of guaifenisin will do the same thing...that and LOTS of water are what you need to thin the mucus...and yes, allergies may well be contributing to your plight as well as high degrees of dry heat from any source from fireplace to furnace w/o additional moisture in the air you breathe...

Ibuprophen(advil) plus a decongestant and an antihistamine...I buy separately but Robbitussin does make a product that has all that plus the mucus thinnner mentioned above...

BTW: If what you bring up is green or red then you have an infection and need antibiotics...

That sometimes happen because your nose is stopped up and the more you try to breath it is causing pressure (tightness) of the face area that it makes you have headaches.Medication does not work and people are spending money to buy the stuff and all it does it make you sick. The best way to cure a cold is with cold.Drink strong caffeine like coke cola, coffee, teas all day.Eat Ice cream but coke colas really really work.A cold will last about a week and medication does not work.Take a hot hot bath(sit in the bathtub) dry off good and rub Vicks Vapor rub on your chest, neck ,behind your ears and under your nose and get in the bed covered up.The heat from your body under that cover will allow you to sweat and that is good.Do this for two days or three days and you will see a difference. It really works.Doctors will not tell you this your grand mother will.

coughing is a real work out. when ever people cough a great deal they will get a headache from the pressure. yes your condition does result in coughing as the phleghm gets into the lungs .
you dont need fancy tests but you do need to explain to the doctor that you are having this problem .

Lots of things can cause chronic coughing, including allergies. I once dated a guy who won a mega-dollar lawsuit against his ex-wife because she wore a perfume he was allergic to--he coughed so much he herniated a disc in his upper vertabrae, and he was seriously never the same, physically, after that. I'd take this seriously and see whatever specialist you can.
