Hi, do you have a local Ikea?? They sell a budget range for example cups at 17pence each!

I am not familiar with England, but I suppose it can't be much different than the US. See if you can find a restaurant supply store and you should be able to find dinner plates at a reasonable price in bulk. I have found great bargains at restaurant supplu houses. I also agree with the other answers of IKEA if you have them there. Good luck!!
