Coronary vs Cardiovascular

It depends on the hospital. Usually coronary and cardiovascular are considered to be the same thing. The hospital I work at has Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Neuro ICU, Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, Burn ICU, and Cardiac ICU. Different nurses prefer different specialties.

I usually work in the Emergency Department, but do float to all of the ICUs since Iam a critical care nurse. My favorite ICU is the surgical ICU since they work with the trauma patients, which I find most interesting.

I will recommend you, to take a general ICU first, to build up your confidence,and increase your practical knowledge, next you can land in CCU (Post Op.) and as an added qualification you can apply to work in Paeds. CCU. and InsAllah (By Grace of Almighty Allah) you can serve with honour with an exalted status.

I work in a pediatric ICU. Before I worked in Adult ICU which is a combination of both. It is all interesting and high stress areas to work in.
