Please provide more information, possibly a complete list of two typical days. Many of us are well informed on cholesterol issues and could advise you as to what to avoid. Your doctor, however, should be your first source of information.
High cholesterol can be caused by different things. It could be genetic, as it is for me, or it could be what you're eating. It could even be a combination of both. One thing is for sure... If your triglycerides are high cut the carbs. That works whether it's genetic or not.
McDonald salads all have between 6 and 17 grams of fat without the croutons or dressing and range between 2 and 18 grams of fat for just the dressing.
Depending on what you are ordering you could be getting quite a bit of fat. When I was on low fat my total daily consumption was 30g. When you consider that a raw piece of salmon has that much fat you get an idea of how much fat you really consume in a day. Carbohydrates also play a role in cholesterol. When you keep them low your good cholesterol goes up, which helps to balance out your bad cholesterol. You can either eat low fat and high carb or high fat and low carb to reduce your cholesterol. Low fat didn't work for me and I didn't want to take statin drugs.
The salads have between 12 and 33 carbs. As a low carber (to reduce my cholesterol, which is now amazingly low) I eat between 20-25 net carbs per day.

I fear for you if you honestly believe that ordering the "light sauce" on your McDonald's salad will prevent you from getting high cholesterol. You need to talk to your doctor about eating healthy.

You should STOP going to Mc Donalds all together. Use homemade dressing.
Eating salad with light dressing will not lower your cholesterol. You have to ingest good fats that will lower your LDL and raise your HDL.
You need to investigate a proper diet. Simple salads are not helpful.

Hardly.
There are lots of sources of fats in most diets, and any type of fat can be converted by your liver into cholesterol. That's because your body does need a certain amount of cholesterol in order to function properly.
See your doctor.
